If you dont want to drive, let your Skyra take the control. Plan the route, just get into the aircraft, push start button and you will be taken to that place.
If at anytime you need to take control, just touch the controls, and you will recover total control of the Skyra, aided by its onboard assistance systems.
One hand controls the throttle and the other the pitch, yaw and roll. It is incredible easy and intuitive.
With the same controls, without having to take your hand off them, you can start the rest of functions like auto landing or auto take off.
A display give you information about remaining battery, altitude, distance to the ground, speed, etc, at anytime.
To ensure pilot's integrity we have developed pasive and active security measures such as ballistics parachute, automatic G forces detector, acceleration limits, ceiling and low flight alerts and automatic behaviour of the aircraft, maneuver angle limitator, safety and ergonomic seat and five points seatbelt, hover on fainted man detector alert, GPS and alert location beacon, precollision alert, low battery alert, between others.
The Skyra can afford the lost of one motor, it has critical devices redundancy, can perform automatic hover, landing and take off operations in case of emergency, autocheck before startup, propellers stops if somebody is close the aircraft when landed, maintenance alerts, etc.
Unai Perez and Javier Escamilla are the entrepreneurs of this project.
Both join engineering, design, software engineering, manufacturing organization and, above all, passion for aeronautics.
This project has grown up from bootstrap beginnigs. Up to date, all financing has come from us, and the development of the project is highly conditioned by the speed at which we are able to accumulate funds with our own work.
